Lewis F. Harvey graduated from the University of British Columbia Law School. He was called to bar in 1979. He practiced in Vancouver until 1998, with an emphasis on administrative law and aboriginal law matters, both as legal advisor and litigator. Mr. Harvey acted as counsel in such notable aboriginal litigation as Guerin v. The Queen, Sparrow v. The Queen, Roberts v. The Queen, Alphonse v The Queen, Tsawwassen First Nation v. Corporation of Delta and Union of New Brunswick Indians v. Minister of Finance of New Brunswick. From 1998 to 2003, Mr. Harvey provided general counsel services to the Musqueam First Nation. He is a frequent lecturer and speaker on aboriginal law and treaty issues.
