Murray
Smith has extensive experience in commercial litigation and
arbitration. He has lengthy experience as well in the criminal law
field having worked
exclusively in that area for the first ten years of his practice during
which he had conduct of more than 50 jury trials. His practice now
includes
corporate commercial transaction disputes and cases involving breach of
contract and negligence. He has appeared in every level of court including
acting as counsel in precedent setting cases in the Supreme Court of Canada.
His lengthy experience in the conduct of international arbitrations
includes
many cases involving commercial contracts. In addition to practising in
British Columbia and Yukon he is also an English barrister.
