Christopher Jones has been a member of the Bar of the Law Society of British Columbia since 1996. Chris attended Dalhousie University Law School and was a Clerk at the Federal Court of Canada from 1993 to 1995. Chris was the Gale Moot Coach at the University of Victoria from 1998 to 2000. He currently teaches Oil and Gas Law at the University of Victoria and Regulatory Law at the University of British Columbia. Chris' areas of practice include civil litigation, information and privacy, and energy regulation. In addition to appearing before the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal, Chris has represented clients before the British Columbia Utilities Commission and the National Energy Board, recently at the hearings into the proposed Georgia Strait Crossing Pipeline. He is currently counsel to the Sierra Club in hearings before the Utilities Commission concerning BC Hydro's revenue requirements application.
