Alison Latimer recently joined the team at Arvay Finlay having been called to the bar in 2009. Alison studied law at the University of Victoria where she worked as a research assistant for many distinguished faculty members in a broad range of interest areas including constitutional, criminal, labour, and family law. Alison articled for several months at a downtown family law firm before rounding out her articles at Arvay Finlay. Her experience includes representing clients in chambers applications and family case conferences and junioring matters at the British Columbia Supreme Court.
Prior to her foray into the legal profession, Alison was fortunate to work in stage management for many of Canada's leading theatre companies including the Stratford Festival, the Canadian Opera Company and the Vancouver Arts Club. In this capacity, she also helped to organize a number of performance events to raise funds and awareness for HIV/AIDS and ALS relief.
